Dylan's vicious story on killing preps
A precursor to the murders for English class just two months before

Dylan submitted this vicious story in creative writing class February 7, 1999, a little more than two months before the murders. Many of the details here come directly from the plan.

Perhaps most interesting is that there is only one killer in the story, who seems a lot more like Eric than Dylan, particularly in his confidence. Dylan is narrating the story from the point of view of a bystander, watching it all from the sidelines. He (the narrator) is enthralled.

The descriptions of how he feels at the end are quite telling.

The hand-written comments are from Judith Kelly, Dylan's English teacher.
